References to Ahumada and Quintana are to be found in HCS-3659. 2. References to Chonohol are contained in TLB-1528 and TLB-1580, as well as in HCHA-372. 3. There are numerous references to persons by the name of Carlos Matos in the files. One Carlos Matus was connected with Atlas and worked in behalf of the six Peronist refugees who were imprisoned in Chile in 1957. Another Carlos Matus was active in labor union affairs in the Confederacion de Trabajadores de Chile and is now connected with the OUTCh. 4. AMGLAD-2 received it from Arturo Villar, who was the successor to AMGLAD-1/Rafael Diaz Hanscom as chief of naval intelligence of UR. May 7-13, 1961 report: 48 DRE members arrested during second week of May in Oriente province. They were arrested when they tried to leave the Sierra Cristal after the failure at the Bay of Pigs. Other DRE members were arrested in Habana, including Manuel Salvat/AMHINT-2, head of DRE's propaganda section, and Manuel Garcia Armangol, head of DRE's action and sabotage section. Thyfault" to Chief, Western Hemisphere: AMOT-3 in discussion with Al Tarabochia, deputy sheriff in Miami sheriff's office - deputy sheriff in Miami (and friend of Senator Eastland's SISS) arrived at meeting two hours early, talked with AMDIP-1/Tony Varona, mixed it up with FRD's Intelligence and Security team. Tarabochia directed the police to arrest those criticizing AMDIP-1/Varona and AMIRON/FRD - the members of the FORDC group. 9/7/61 dispatch from Paula K. Thybault, Chief of Base to C/WHD. CI Charles Weisinger/Ray Dubois was coordinating officer, releasing officer was C/WAVE Paul Manson/Al Cox. Was Paula K. Thybault a subordinate or pseudonym for David Morales? "On August 31 1961 AMCHEER-1/Julio Garcia submitted a report...the Navy office is now located in a two-story house at 2301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. The entire Naval intelligence department occupies the first floor of this house. The radio receivers to monitor Cuban stations are also installed on the first floor of this house."

"Jose CENAL Cueto reported privately that he had made contact with members of the John Birch Society and that there was a possibility that the society might give financial assistance in the fight against Castro-Communism. Cenal said he would soon be able to give more details about the developments of the negotiations with this society."
