104-10069-10434: KOSTENKO, VASILIY GAVRILOVICH

08/16/57: Air dispatch from COS, Brussels to Chief, WE: "1. Attached is information developed from the NICONVENIENT operation which was passed to NIGHTINGALE/35 on 8 April 1957 in conjunction with information on NICONVENIENT (ref B). The reports were post-dated at N/35's request so that, if necessary, NIGHTINGALE could make it appear that they were kept informed of the information as it developed...4. N/2's first reaction was to get Lydia on a boat for the U.S. and therefore bury the subject. N/35 asked Jouvenoy if the station could help with her visa but Jouvenoy told him the question of whether or not she received her visa was out of our hands...attachment C is Jouvenoy's report of his questioning of Lydia (per BRUS - 287) which was sanitized and passed to NIGHTINGALE and the U.S. Consulate)...5. N/35 requested the summaries of the NICONVENIENT and Kostenko information which had been promised them in order to plan the attack and Jouvenoy passed the information on 8 April. Jouvenoy discussed an interrogation plan with N/35 and, although N/35 was hesitant to set a date for the interrogation, he gave the impression that the plans were firm. Several days later, N/35 told Jouvenoy that it appeared N/97 had lost interest in Lydia, and there was therefore no pressure to interrogate Kostenko...Elliot S. Jouvenoy"

104-10069-10420: ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY (BIO ON LYDIA DMYTR

4/21/64, memo by SR/CI/Research REDACTED signing off under James Angleton's signature. Back on 11/23/63, George Bouhe told FBI agent Robert Gemberling that Marina Oswald and Lydia Dymitruk of Fort Worth were associated with one another. Dymitruk had left Pavel Dymitruk and gone to live with Vasily Kostenko in about 1952 as his common-law wife in Brussels. Kostenko (201-150620) was known as active in the anti-communist NTS and had been discovered to be active with the Soviet embassy in Brussels as a Soviet agent. Lydia Dymitruk claimed to have left Kostenko because of his drinking. She described him as an active anti-communist.
