09/22/70: Cable from Director to Vienna et al (Orig: R. Wagner, E/TF): "1. Following names on LNBEET watch list. PLS report any information re activities, including travel, of the individuals listed below, which in your judgement may effect the security of the president during his European trip. This list may be passed to liaison for traces and border watch listing. PLS attempt to confirm the whereabouts of the individuals if they are listed as last being in your area. Forward all information by immediate precedence cable to HQs and to Rome, Madrid and London..." Among those listed were Panamanian elected representative Thelma King as well as left-wing political activists Tariq Ali and Daniel Cohn-Bendit.
