104-10218-10223: REQUEST TO STOP FUNDING A WEEKLY MAGAZINE

Uncertain date, memo from HQ to Chief of Station, Mexico City: "Action: Please stop funding the new LIFIZZ weekly...designed to counter Politica and Siempre...compared to Siempre, it is a pallid publication indeed. It is not in the same class as the brilliantly-conceived LISPUR magazine which Mexico Station and which the same Ambassador rejected as "too dangerous"...at Headquarters, our judgment says that we should not support this publication at all. For LISPUR, we would dig up the funds somehow."
