5/20/68 cable from Mexico City to Director: "Purpose (of) LISASSY-1 planned contact was to inform the ambassador that Dr. Enrique Huertas who considers self most representative Cuban exiles is willing meet Fidel Castro to discuss possibility rapprochement with Huertas group...LISASSY-1 received 100 Cuban pesos from LIRING-9 with instructions pass to Huertas, who LIRING-9 hoped would give the money to agents Huertas may be sending into Cuba."

LIRING-9 is identified as 201-340938. At p. 139 - 11/22/68 cable: "During long discussion LIRING-9 had at LIRING with LIRING-3 on 21 Nov LIRING-9 asked LIRING-3 to prepare detailed written report due 1730 hours 26 Nov on his experiences (in) Guatemala and his contacts with F.A.R. personalities while incarcerated. When LIRING-3 mentioned lack adequate (Cuban) support LIRING-9 excitedly agreed, stating his capital did not understand F.A.R. and had done many things wrong. He added LIRING-3 should point out on paper how (Cuba) had failed (in) Guatemala and give his opinion of what needed."
