Cryptonym: LIENVOY-16

Definition:
Anita Tarasoff. When it was discovered that her husband, transcriber Boris Tarasoff, knew Russian and English but virtually no Spanish, his wife was pressed into service to help him.
Status:
Speculative
Discussion:
Identity of LIENVOY-16 remains undocumented, but it is a reasonable supposition given the facts. The only other person known to be transcribing Russian tapes to English during this time period, CIA officer Bill Bright, was unlikely to be given a cryptonym that was generally reserved for agents and not officers.
