Definition:
Unknown identity. AMOT-12 was described as a Cuban businessman in a Field Information Report in October of 1962.
Status:
Unknown
Discussion:
In the report mentioned above, AMOT-12 obtained information from a debriefing of a Camaguey legal solicitor, Joaquin Luis Barroso Gomez, who in turn had received the information from the MRP's chief of action and sabotage.

A Report Cover Sheet from JMWAVE in September, 1962, stated that AMOT-12's information was based on a debriefing of Armando Lopez Gonzalez. The document also mentioned that AMOT-12 was a AMOT sub-source in Havana. AMOT-12 mailed in a AMOT report from AMOT-6 (probably Marcos Diaz Lanz).

A memo from Carlos Blanco (Jose Joaquin Sanjenis) on August 12, 1963, stated that the source was "Esteban Lamelas Maura, USIA newspaperman, our collaborator through AMOT-12."
