AMIGGY-1 was to head propaganda for group, and be given radio station to run. AMIGGY-1 was told by Lora that Chibas would get one million dollars for expenses of group...AMIGGY-1 spoke to Chibas who claimed complete ignorance (of) promises made by Lora, said he had no funds...Since Ulises Carbo and AMIGGY-1 were school chums MASH has encouraged latter associate self with Carbo clan...View (of) AMIGGY-1 former position and relation top Cuban levels MASH feels he exploitable and useful asset for either Carbo or other JMHOPE program..."

Mission is prepare one or more on spot programs covering public statements by Miro and others of new Revolutionary Council. Programs to be aired over Unidad Revolucionaria on WRUL and SWAN...should HQS desire contact with AMIGGY-1, CO (case officer) can establish bona fides by identifying self as "Miguel" and saying he friend of Douglas." Note: In his book Countdown to Darkness, author John Newman identifies "Douglas" as David Phillips.

Jenrette, PW, to IS, source AMIGGY-1: To source from Berta FERRER..."The MDC general coordinator in Cuba uses war names "Abel" and "Omar"...Lucas, the head of the MDC faction under the CRC" reported that his second-in-command Olga was captured, as well as other MDC leaders throughout the island.

2/20/63 memo from PW to COS, DCOS, C/Security and CI. WAVE COS Ted Shackley, DCOS, and others are informed that the Committee for Nonviolent Direct Action is going throughout Miami, and will actually picket the offices of the CRC. Their source, AMIGGY-1, believes that the CRC is tied in with the FPCC. A radio station host urged Cuban exiles to greet the CNVA picketers with lead pipes.
