Action planned for evening 13 March...AMICE-1 said two previous attempts were postponed when explosives failed. Present materiel has been supplied by MRP group (in) Havana. Cofino group has reportedly arranged political asylum Venezuelan embassy Ahava (note: in Havana?). Chief of station comment: HQS approved sab operations against electric power systems."

(Al Rodriguez/Earl Williamson, Bob ?, Rocky Farnsworth and Phil ?): "At my meeting yesterday with Dr. Miro he informed me that Pascasio Linera, leader of FORDC had wanted to have a fund raising drive for money to buy a boat to use for infiltration into Cuba but that their contact, 'Rogers', had told them not to do this."

2/28/62, Memorandum for the Record by Harold Noemayr: "On 27 February 1962, this case officer held a long meeting with AMICE-1 and AMPANIC-1 concerning the organization and control of the WAVE unilateral asset, FORD...FORD was created by WAVE, not by a spontaneous or determined effort by Cuban labor exiles to form an organization...FORD admittedly does not possess the best of Cuban labor experience and leadership, and if anything, has some rather dubious and controversial characters in their midst...there were only three so-called "Independents" on the "Executive Committee" that WAVE could count on for guidance and control: AMICE-1, 3, and AMOT-20."

3/27/63 Memorandum for the Record by C/PW, Subject, AMICE Mission to Rio and Political Interference: "On 26 April (error, should be March) AMOT-20/Orestes Puig Rios was instructed to assign two AMICERS/FORDC members to go to Rio soonest and report to the ORIT representative there...He suggested Antonio Collada and Pedro Aponte both because of their high qualifications and because they had valid passports and renewable visas...the Cofino group of AMICE...had been working with the labor representatives of the AMBUD groups to wrest control of AMICE from the Secretary General." (Marginalia reveals the Secretary General as AMICE-1).

8/29/63 dispatch from Chief, JMWAVE to Chief, SAS: "The attached reversed reproductions of Habana power net blueprints were given to AMCORE-2 by Angel COFINO Garcia, exiled labor leader, on 22 July 1963. COFINO asked AMCORE-2 to see him, then gave him the blueprints saying that he had never given this information to anyone else. COFINO said that he brought the blueprints out with him when he left Cuba...since his arrival in exile, COFINO has been a paid executive of FORDC and witting of CIA sponsorship of that organization..."
