Cryptonym: AMHINT-18

Return to Main Crypts Page

George Nobregas aka Jorge Nobregas. AMHINT-18 used the names George and Jorge as an indigenous instructor.
By the time of the Bay of Pigs invasion in mid-April, 1961, AMHINT-18 had been infiltrated into Cuba, along with a number of other DRE members.

A dispatch in September of 1964 stated that AMHINT-18 was exposed as an indigenous instructor to AMNUBA-1, and known as George.

According to a February, 1966, dispatch AMHINT-18 appears to have known AMLUNT-2 (Duney Perez Alamo, aka Dunney Perez Alamo).

Two damage reports in 1968 mentioned that AMHINT-18 was exposed as an indigenous instructor to AMHINT-56 (Juan Francisco Blanco Fernandez) and AMSTALK-1 (Miguel Angel Diaz Isalgue). AMHINT-18 was exposed to the former as Jorge.

According to a HSCA document in 1978, George Nobregas was interviewed by the FBI in April of 1963 over his knowledge of DRE military action plans against Cuba.

George Nobregas was also probably AMOT-34, and, therefore, probably became part of the stay behind net, following his likely infiltration into Cuba before the Bay of Pigs invasion in mid-April, 1961.
