Discussion:
AMCOG-5 alleged that "Oswald was in Havana between 2 and 7 October 1963, and that Oswald “was seen by the sister of Comandante Miranda,” whose name was possibly Ofelia Miranda, a source for AMCOG-5, 104-10021-10047. In addition, a cable and Information Report in November, 1964, described AMCOG-5 as a Cuban professional businessman with a medical background who has a wide variety of contacts. AMCOG-5's reporting was described as an "accurate" and a "prolific reporter over an extended period of time."

In SW 30 received WAVE 28 Jan, AMCOG-3 reported FOLL: 'According to what AMCOG-5 tells me, Oswald was in Habana between 2 and 7 Oct 63. A lady saw him in shirt sleeves, wearing good shoes and smoking American cigars accompanied by Clemente Morera an employee of Terminales Mambisas who belongs to the DSE. He (Oswald) was seen by the sister of 'Comandante Miranda.' 2. No traces of Clemente Morera. POSS traces Miranda are Abelardo Miranda Martinez Cuban naval academy grad 52; Chief statistics dept min industries, AMOT Report 1036 17 Oct 62; head statistics, dept of Cuban armed forces FBIS, 21 Jan 60; legal traveler MEXI 13 Nov 61 sheet 751, head statistics for navy QM corps and Communist, DCE 15234, 10 Jun 62. The information is from AMCOG-9 who received it from the mail carrier who serves the navy general staff building and the army general staff offices. Details will be requested...DOI: 20 Sept 64. PADA: United States, Miami (2 Nov 64). SOURCE: A Cuban professional businessman with a medical background who has a wide variety of contacts. Source has been a prolific reporter for an extended period of time, and it is believed that his reporting, primarily from a variety of subsources, has been accurate. The information was received from a Cuban Government official who is concerned with maritime affairs and who has official contacts in the majority of Cuban ports. Subsource's reporting has been accurate. The information was obtained from a messenger who serves military and naval headquarters installations in Habana."
