An undated CIA document stated that AMCANOE-4 was Armando Sosa Rodriguez. .

A cable on November 13, 1963, mentioned that AMCANOE-4 had a serious disagreement with AMCANOE-8.

A cable from JMWAVE in June 1964 stated that the station recommended Armando Soso Rodriguez be told to discontinue his association with AMBANG (then JURE). The Chief of Station comment stated that the information received by AMSWIRL-1 (Customs agent Cesar Diosdado) in Miami was from Armando Sosa Rodriguez.

A FBI report from Miami in August 1968 stated that "it is to be noted that of the above mentioned individuals Agustin Armando Sosa Rodriguez, Barbaro Balan Garcia, Jose Diaz Morejon, and Marcos Rodriguez Ramos have been previously reported as activists in Bosch's organization." In addition, there are indications that Armando Sosa Rodriguez was still active in anti-Castro Cuban activities well into the 1970's.

11/13/63, Cable from Director to JMWAVE: Slugline RYBAT TYPIC AMCANOE: REF UFGA 11964: "1. Charges levied by AMCANOE-8 and upheld by AMCANOE-10 in ref were of such significance that steps were required to determine advisability of continued association with any of persons involved. To this end AMCANOE-4 was LCFLUTTERED on 7 Nov 63. Nominal basis for LCFLUTTER was unspecified security investigation of AMCANOE Op. Questions based on ref report were intermingled with other routine security questions. LCFLUTTER operator was satisfied that results examination substantiated that AMCANOE-4 had not plotted to kill and rob anyone as reported ref. 2. Believe emergence ref report was consequence of recent differences between AMCANOE-8 and AMCANOE-4. These resulted in separation AMCANOE-8 from AMCANOE group. Basic problem was AMCANOE-8 failure observe security rules imposed by AMCANOE-1 and AMCANOE-4. AMCANOE-8 attributed separation to personal differences with AMCANOE-4. 3. FYI re para 1 B ref AMCANOE-8 and 10 were not aware details AMCANOE-9 of plan which, contrary to their statement, called for AMCANOE-9 travel Havana. 4. WAVE does not propose UFG dissem ref info due AMSWIRL-1 (Customs agent Cesar Diosdado) already informed ODBOON (U.S. Customs Agency) re possible communications center. 2. WAVE recommends Armando (Soso) Rodriguez be told to discontinue association with AMBANG (MRP until 1962 - during 1962, the MRP outside of Cuba became JURE. The Cuban group within Cuba was much smaller by 1962 because of the arrests in 1961). Unless HQs has reason for keeping Sosa-AMBANG relationship at Moorehaven sugar mill commo center, will recommend AMSWIRL-1 advise Sosa on 19 June to disengage. C/S Comment: *Re info received by AMSWIRL-1 in Miami from Armando (Sosa) Rodriguez."

08/07/68: FBI Miami report on MIRR (Orlando Bosch's group): Agustin Armando Sosa Rodriguez mentioned several times in this report including Page 12: ..."It is to be noted that of the above mentioned individuals Agustin Armando Sosa Rodriguez, Barbaro Balan Garcia, Jose Diaz Morejon, and Marcos Rodriguez Ramos have been previously reported as activists in Bosch's organization. Gonzalez is reportedly Bosch's chief bomb expert and both Gonzalez and Balan are trained underwater divers..."

12/05/75: FBI Miami report titled: AGUSTIN ARMANDO SOSA-RODRIGUEZ, also known as Captain Sosa, Armando Sosa, Agustin Sosa: INTERNAL SECURITY - CUBA: ..."Castrovedre said that Armando Sosa, also known as Juajiro, is in charge of naval operations for Accion Cubana. On October 22, 1975, Agustin Armando Sosa-Rodriguez was interviewed at his residence, 320 Michigan Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Miami, Florida. Armando Sosa stated his wife has been very ill, and he has been sick for over one year. He exhibited two large scars, one on his back and one on his abdomen, and stated these scars had been done by another Cuban and that he had been unable to work for over one year, was having difficulty getting around, and walks with a noticeable limp. Armando Sosa does not approve of placing bombs in the United States...In reference to Orlando Bosch...Sosa stated he knew Orlando Bosch since he was a boy in Cuba but has not had any contacts with him..." The report added that Sosa-Rodriguez was born in Santo Domingo, Las Villas, Cuba on May 4, 1926.
