General Juan Almedia Bosque Dies at 82

September 12: General Juan Almeida Bosque, one of the three remaining compatriots of Fidel Castro's revolution, has died of a heart attack. Almeida, still bearing the title "Commander of the Revolution," was theorized by authors Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann to be the leader of a Kennedy-sponsored coup against Castro, to have launched December 1, 1963.
