Robert McNamara Dies at 93

July 6, 2009: Robert McNamara, Defense Secretary under presidents Kennedy and Johnson, has died at age 93. The subject of much historical debate, McNamara is considered the "Architect of the Vietnam War." Though the subject of numerous books and documentaries, most notably Errol Morris' The Fog of War, and his own In Retrospect, McNamara remains an enigmatic figure in American history.
