The House Select Committee on Assassinations held public hearings in the fall of 1978 to present its findings on the assassinations of President Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Now available online are the press releases which accompanied each day of hearings.
Highlights from the JFK hearings include a transcript of an interview with Fidel Castro conducted in Cuba and the special December hearing in which a second acoustics team verified findings of a Grassy Knoll shot originally presented in September.
Press releases from the MLK hearings include a statement by James Earl Ray, a lengthy interview with his brother John Larry Ray, and a staff report analyzing the performance of the Dept. of Justice and the FBI in the King case.
