6 Aug 2008 - More FBI HSCA Subject Files: Aproximately 60,000 more pages of FBI HSCA Subject Files have been added over the past six months, including new files on: Anatoli Golitzyn, William Harvey, Rolando Masferrer, Meyer Lansky, Mitchell Werbell, Nofio Pecora, INTERPEN, Richard Lauchli, William Morgan, Michael McLaney, and many others. Approximately 150,000 of a total 400,000 pages remain to be processed in this collection.

29 Jul 2008 - LAPD Report to HSCA: An undated report from the Los Angeles Police Dept. to the House Assassinations Committee, supplying information on possible connections between the JFK and RFK murders. This 66-page report has particular focus on James Braden, Jimmy Hoffa, and the investigative work of authors Peter Noyes and Jonn Christian.

23 Jul 2008 - Critique of CNN's MLK Documentary: Allan Gile' produced CNN V. MLK - A Video Critique, a rebuttal to CNN's 40th anniversary documentary on the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

14 Jul 2008 - More Califano Papers: Additional documents from the files of Joseph Califano include List of Cuban Contingencies, Utilization of Alpha 66 in Operations, The Future of Cuba, Cover and Deception Plans for Caribbean Survey Group, and more.

23 Jun 2008 - Part Five of Incomplete Justice: Part Five of Larry Hancock's Incomplete Justice series of essays on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy is now available. Mind Games? explores the question of Sirhan Sirhan's state of mind. Was he a hypnotized "Manchurian Candidate" or a crafty killer and liar??

16 Jun 2008 - Part Four of Incomplete Justice: Part Four of Larry Hancock's Incomplete Justice series of essays on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy is now available. "No, there were no other guns..." discusses evidence for more than one gun in the pantry that night.

6 Jun 2008 - CIA Office of Security Files: Among the tens of thousands of pages of CIA files put online in recent weeks are CIA Office of Security files on various individuals and organizations, including Mitch Werbell, Edwin Walker, Kerry Thornley, James Wilcott, Carlos Tepedino, Sergio Arcacha Smith, Richard Snyder, Wackenhut Corp., and the Southern Christian Leadership Council. These are all part of the voluminous CIA Segregated Collection of documents shown to the HSCA.

5 Jun 2008 - Part Three of Incomplete Justice: Part Three of Larry Hancock's Incomplete Justice series of essays on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy is now available. "They are all fibbing..." shows how LAPD dismissed many accounts of apparent accomplices of Sirhan Sirhan.

27 May 2008 - Part Two of Incomplete Justice: Part Two of Larry Hancock's Incomplete Justice series of essays on the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy is now available. Stalking RFK?, on which a similar starting point was based, details accounts of pre-assassination sightings of Sirhan Sirhan in the company of others, apparently stalking Kennedy.

22 May 2008 - Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus: Sirhan Sirhan's late attorney Lawrence Teeter's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus elucidates many of the problems with the case against Sirhan Sirhan as a lone gunman. It is accompanied by a set of exhibits which document the charges made in the Writ.

6 May 2008 - Castro-McGovern "Black Book": Newly online is the HSCA's copy of a "black book" detailing 24 alleged assassination plots against Fidel Castro, handed by Castro himself to Sen. George McGovern in 1975. The 88-page document includes mug shots and photos of seized weapons. 2 Apr 2008 - Advanced Search Page Update: The Advanced Search page now has checkboxes for restricting searches to the new MLK and RFK document collections. Searches can be restricted to all documents related to one or more of these topics, or to individual sub-collections. As always, the MFF allows a few free search clickthroughs, but full use of the search engine requires a paid membership.

7 Mar 2008 - New Essay by Don Thomas: Scientist and acoustics-evidence expert Don Thomas has authored a new essay, The Bike With the Mike, published here on the MFF website. In it, Thomas critiques Dale Myer's "epipolar geometry" study which purports to show that Dallas police officer McLain could not have been in position to record Dealey Plaza gunfire on his motorcycle's microphone. Myers' work was central to the ABC documentary Beyond Conspiracy which aired in November 2004.

4 Mar 2008 - Additions to Book Archive: An additional 36 books have been added to the MFF Book Archive for browsing, fair-use searching, and commenting upon by members. New books include David Talbot's Brothers, Burton Hersh's Bobby & J. Edgar, Tim Weiner's Legacy of Ashes, John Kelin's Praise from a Future Generation, Michael Kurtz' The JFK Assassination Debates, Arthur Schlesinger's Journals, and Vincent Bulgiosi's Reclaiming History.

8 Feb 2008 - COINTELPRO Report Available from MFF Press: COINTELPRO and Other Intelligence Activities Targeting Americans, 1940-1975 documents the FBI's COINTELPRO program's harassment of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as other intelligence agency programs targeting black leaders, anti-war dissidents, and other Americans. This report, which is Book III from the Church Committee's published volumes, is now available in print from MFF Press. See the MFF Store for this and other reports of the Church Committee, as well as books by Harold Weisberg, Peter Dale Scott, and Sylvia Meagher.

1 Feb 2008 - Additional FBI HSCA Subject Files: Aproximately 35,000 additional pages of FBI HSCA Subject Files have been added over the past month, including new files on: Alpha 66, Candy Barr, Richard Cain, the Cuban Revolutionary Council, Martin Greendlinger, Loran Hall, Vladimir Sloboda, Sergio Arcacha Smith, Tony Varona, Dave Yaras, and many others. Additional pages were added to the files on Frank Sturgis and LCN (La Cosa Nostra), and many more. The MFF will continue to add tens of thousands of pages per month to this collection - check this Site News space for future notices.

31 Jan 2008 - Apologies for yesterday's programming error: Many users of this site experienced a "Site Search Limit Reached" page in error while simply browsing yesterday (Jan 30). This was due to a programming error which has been fixed. Browsing remains free. What is new, and now working, is the ability of those without paid memberships to use the search system in a limited way. Now, a few free "clickthroughs" from the Search Results page are allowed, whereas previously none were. The MFF regrets any inconvenience caused by the temporary "bug" which occurred while this new feature was implemented.

2 Jan 2008 - FBI Surveillance Logs of Organized Crime Figures: Roughly 60,000 new pages of FBI documents have been added to the MFF Archive in the past two months, all to the FBI HSCA Subject Files collection. Many of these are ELSUR (electronic surveillance) transcripts of organized crime figures and associates, including: James Hoffa, Johnny Roselli, Sam Giancana, Frank Sinatra, Angelo Bruno, Russell Bufalino, Steve Magaddino, Vito Giacalone, Vincent Scro, Allen Dorfman, Joseph Zerilli, and Charles Tourine.
