About the Film JFK

JFK filmWhile not a documentary per se, Oliver Stone's JFK is based more on facts and on the history of the Garrison investigation than its detractors often claim. Find JFK on amazon.com, or watch on Amazon Instant Video.

JFK: The Book of the Film is both a screenplay and a footnoted reference to the content of the film. It is a great companion to the film and the controversies raised by it.

The Mary Ferrell Foundation owes a great debt to Stone's film. It was the trailer at the end of the movie, noting the millions of pages of records held in secret government files, that prompted a citizen outcry resulting in the JFK Records Act. That Act created the Assassinations Record Review Board which declassified over 5 million pages of such records. The majority of the documents available on this website are available a direct result of the JFK Records Act, and thus the impact of the film.
